INSPIRED Psychology:Danced
Ruth is one of Five choreographers who were INSPIRED by five psychological questions. The result is Psychology:Danced.
If someone cried out, would you help? If someone asked you to remember three simple things, could you? If you saw a chessboard would you know which were the black squares? If you asked someone a question and they didn’t know the answer, would you give them an electric shock? If you were acting normally would a psychiatrist think you were mad?
Narrated by Dr Peter Lovatt (as seen on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, The Graham Norton Show and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe), Psychology:Danced is a performance of dance and spoken word where psychological stories are brought to life with fresh, exciting, dynamic dance.

Ruth will be in residence at The Workroom Tramway from 15th - 27th Novemember.
Working with Musician Jon Kelihor as mentor, she will creatively and theoretically research time and rhythm in relation to physical expression and dance.
Communicating hard academic facts in tandem with fundamental human emotions and deeply philisophical ponderings. All through playing with time and rhythm.

As you may know, Ruth performed her solo 'Together at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a rather entertaining and educational show called Dance Dr Dance. Academic Psychologist and founder of the Dance Lab at Hertfordshire University, Dr Peter Lovatt has invited Ruth to be comissioned for a further work in the New Year, focussing on fundamental human psychology and it's expression through dance.
